32 Books Down
At the start of the year I decided to undertake a ReadAThon challenge in aid of Schnauzerfest. I set myself the goal of reading 50 books in 2023. For each I would rate it, and donate £3 per star. So I gave a 5 star rating, a book would receive a £15 donation from me.
I was going well until the summer season of visitors arrived. Bringing with them multiple changes to my routines, including my reading ones. I have slipped slightly behind my schedule, but am confident that I will catch up, those 50 books will be read by the end of the year.
Today I’ve updated my fundraising page on Justgiving.
If you scroll down through my updates you can see the 32 books that have been read, starred and donated for this year. I read a mixture of novels and memoirs, biographies and an occasional factual book thrown in.
I’ve always read a lot. As a child my mother encouraged it, and read to us all every day. I cannot imagine not reading every day. Even a few pages of a good book helps me know that whatever else might be happening, life has many positives.
This book is next on my list to be read, following a good recommendation. If you fancy helping me to reach my fundraising target, donations are also very much welcomed, and appreciated.
