Book Launch Time…
Time to tell everyone about the book launch for Saving Maya. The great news is that the official release date has been brought forward so we can do what we really hoped to be able to for the book launch. We’re delighted to say that we’ll be joining our good friends at Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre for their annual Fun Day on Sunday 3rd July.
DBARC holds a special place in my heart, it’s the place where Susie-Belle, Twinkle and Cerise have all experienced great kindness. In Susie-Belle’s case, she spent 6 months recovering her health when she was brought out of the puppy farm at death’s door. Janet, manager of DBARC fostered and nursed her, loved her deeply and after all that let her go and come home to us, I can never thank Janet enough for that selfless act of love and trust. To launch my third book that Susie-Belle’s life has inspired me to write, at DBARC is quite simply taking her soul and spirit back to her first real home. She will be there with us, sharing our big day. Without Susie-Belle, without DBARC, my life would be completely different.
Everyone is warmly invited to come along, say hello have a great day out with all the family and celebrate the book launch with us. Please invite your friends and family, and of course, you must bring your dogs if they enjoy being out and about with others. There’s a light-hearted, fun dog show running throughout the day – look out for the list of classes to be announced any day soon and take part if you can, it’s fun and helps to raise vital funds for DBARC.
Annabel and I will be on the stall next to the Schnauzerfest Craft Stall all day, with Michel, Twinkle and Cerise (our inspiration for Maya) and Renae (our muse for her sister Willow). I’m hoping Annabel will bring her pencils to doodle the odd doodle if she gets a chance.
Copies of Saving Susie-Belle and Saving One More will also be available to buy on the day. If you already have a copy and would like it signed, just pop along and I’ll be delighted to scribble my scrawl for you.
Although Saving Maya is aimed at younger readers, we know it will appeal to those of all ages. We can’t wait to share it with everyone. And for this book to be out and reaching the puppy buyers of the future for years to come.
