Maya Makes People’s Book Prize Finals
Last week saw my latest book, ‘Saving Maya’, reaching the People’s Book Prize finals. I’m absolutely delighted – and touched – by the incredible comments from readers who have got the book this far with their votes. Here’s a small selection of what people are saying on the People’s Book Prize page –
‘Beautifully written and illustrated. A powerful and uplifting story with a very important message. A must for every child.’
‘This is a well written book which young people will enjoy and older people as well!’
‘This book should be in every library worldwide. It’s a great way to educate children (and adults) about dog rescue’
‘Beautifully written and illustrated so children (and adults) of all ages are swept along a journey with delightful characters they will love.’
‘A rare and truly inspirational read with delightful pictures at the turn of each page.’

So what happens next?
Once the current round of voting for the Spring shortlist is complete, all finalists are voted for from 15-21 May to determine the winners. This means we’ll be needing to ask for your support once again to vote for Saving Maya as soon the voting goes live on 15th May 2017. The winners will be announced at an Awards Ceremony in London on 23rd May 2017.
Being a finalist is terrific, it means new readers will now be discovering the themes and messages contained within the story of Maya. If we can, on 23rd May, be a People’s Book Prize Winner, that will really move the story of puppy farming and pet rescue out to an even bigger audience. That will truly be a great tribute to all the dogs who inspire my writing and the campaigning of so many good people.
If you’d like to see this happen, please share the book of Maya with your friends and family now so that they will be ready to add their votes in May. We can only do this with your help.
You can find Saving Maya on Amazon by clicking here or for FREE worldwide shipping Wordery are a good option, if you click here.
And finally, remember I am giving away 3 free digital copies of Saving Maya to 3 lucky subscribers of my newsletter on 15 March, so please do send this on to friends and family and ask them to subscribe to be in with a chance.
As always, I am sincerely thankful for everyone’s wonderful support.
