Fun in the snow
Well it’s arrived, our first proper dollop of snow and with it the usual chaos in the southeast of England. We really, really don’t do very well with snow, even when we have plenty of warning. But, the girls don’t mind, the roads are quieter, the house is warm, we’re off work and so out we go. First we had a little walk in the garden to get them used to it, neither Renae nor Susie-Belle seemed natural snow-babies, standing stuck to the spot for a while and hiding under a tree…….
Then we headed off for a quick walk to the park, we saw no other dogs, only a couple of children (the schools all closed at lunchtime because of the snow) making a snowman.
Susie-Belle was up to her elbows in snow, but warm and ready in her cosy coat. Once at the park, they both gave into their innate sense of fun and had a bounce around. Susie-Belle even buried her face in it once she’d got going, we took a lovely video but I haven’t worked out how to upload it here yet, will do it over the weekend, it’s gorgeous and we have to share it.
They both came home with impressive iceball legs which required a quick dip in the warm bath.
We have a quiet weekend, we were going to head to the South Downs to meet our lovely schnauzer friends there, but it’s looking doubtful with the snow and ice now, but we’ll get out and about and make sure Susie-Belle and Renae enjoy this wintry weather.
