Visit to the local butcher
One of the favourite treats we give the girls is pieces of dried beef or venison trachea. We buy them from an online shop in the UK and as a low-fat chewy treat they’ve proved a great success.
As our local market town in France has an abbatoir and butcher’s shop attached, we thought we’d have a go this morning at finding the fresh version, with the hope we might take some home to freeze.
We couldn’t think why if butchery is done onsite, they wouldn’t have them. Well, epic fail I’m afraid to report. By the response we got to our request, they must have thought we were crazy daisys.
So, that’s a no. Dried trachea it has to be girls.
