We’ve been home from France not quite two weeks yet it feels like two months. Not only have we been busy getting back to work and catching up from the long break but the weather has changed over the past few days to cool, damp and very autumnal. The days of walking out on flip flops seem to be over till next year, the boots are out, the rain coats have been worn for the first time in weeks and the house is decorated once again with damp, muddy paw-marked towels. All the joys of the change of seasons.
Whilst we were away in France, I came across a brilliant artisan who is based in the UK. Maria makes very cute, stylish doggie-themed items and before we came home I placed an order for some of her bespoke, handcrafted signs to liven up our house in England and a special little one for our guests in France.
They arrived shortly after I got home and I am completely delighted with how good they look and how they reflect my attitude and humour towards our dogs.
For our living room here we have…
….and if that doesn’t give enough warning to our visitors as to how we view life, we then have…
…..and just in case there may be any doubt or confusion as to my mind-set on this, we have….
For our guests in France, we have this wonderful little sign by the front door…….
…which could concern one or two seeing as they will have journeyed for several hours to get to us, so canine approval will be rather important to achieve!
And finally, I couldn’t resist this one, seeing as I always say I live with two very special, but not exactly normal dogs in the form of Susie-Belle and Twinkle Berry as well as one very special, almost super-normal dog, Renae
I love all this handicraft, the quality is lovely and they certainly suit our homes and our humour. It’s wonderful to find someone on the same wavelength creating beautiful crafts.
