Blustery beach walk
We had one of our favourite days out on Monday as it was Easter Bank Holiday and we all had the day off. We met our great friends, Mike, Dean and Jolyon down at Rye Nature Reserve. Between us all, we had 8 energetic schnauzers to entertain and we couldn’t have chosen a better place, lots of open empty beach.
We had taken the girls to another beach on Saturday and Twinkle was off lead for the first time, running free on the sand dunes and loving the freedom and naturalness. She was no different at Rye and really seemed to get into the spirit of it, you can spot her above with her trailing lead trying to catch up with Renae and the boys.
Renae is in her element with this crowd of boys, she loves rough and tumbling and wrestling with brothers Rupert and Watson (black schnauzers above) and Bertie, who’s home turf is Rye.
Susie-Belle always loves a day out, but she is much more sedate and happy to stay close to me (could be something to do with where the treats are to be found), although she is getting some serious foodie competition from her new sister Twinkle, who is often found licking her lips in anticipation of delicious treats.
After we had enjoyed an energetic, blowy walk on the beach, avoiding getting our feet wet in the incoming tide, but only just……
…and the dogs were all suitably tired, happy and windswept……
…. we headed to the pub for a drink and classic seaside fare, fish and chips. A great day out and thank you Mike for some wonderful photography again.
