Call this Spring?
We’re into our last week in France and the weather is not being kind. Today the wind is fierce and freezing, not at all seasonal, this time last year meals were enjoyed al fresco, no chance of that without our woollies and a crazy mindset. But at least it’s not raining, although it’s forecast for the rest of the week. So we made the most of a dry, cold but sunny morning and walked the girls across country for a good couple of hours. For lunch we had something we only eat here in France, a sausage baguette, only the sausages were the spicy, north African merguez sausages not the normal run-of-the-mill bangers we get in England. The delicious aromas of sizzling merguez makes Susie-Belle visibly salivate, so instead of risking a spice induced tummy drama we gave her a little lunchtime treat of dried trachea, yum if ones a schnauzer. After that the afternoon was spent with a book, under the blanket and about 20kg of happy schnauzery company.
