It’s tropical today
As the weather’s so gloomy, cold and wet here today, I’ve made one of Susie-Belle’s favourites for supper later – my version of a tropical fruit smoothie. The base is papaya and pineapple which both contain useful digestive enzymes; I’ve got some blueberries to use up so in they go, plus an apple and finally, as it’s winter, a touch of root ginger to spice it up. Ginger’s also an excellent digestive aid and helps to fight all manner of bugs & nasties so it can only be good – plus Susie-Belle always likes a bit of aromatic warmth.
Just before serving, I’ll whizz in some lambs kidney – if I chop it, Renae will pick it out and leave it – and roughly dice some beef fillet. A tropical treat for a chilly day.
