Schnauzer Sunday
We had another great schnauzer walk on Sunday at Norbury Park, local to us. Plenty of willing schnauzers and owners turned out to enjoy some (rare) autumn sunshine. The girls had a brilliant time, these walks are so good for Susie-Belle and it’s fabulous to see each time how she gets more and more confident, interacting more with both people and the other schnauzers. Here are some of my favourite photos:
….look at that pleading, pleading look, a Susie-Belle special. Photo taken by our great friend Kathleen, mum to Darcie, stood behind SusieB, who came along and did her best to relax, she’s getting steadily braver……
…and this gorgeous photo was taken by our wonderful photographer friend, Mike, who amazingly is amateur but he takes fabulous photos. Here are some he took of Tica, who also came along, she was amazing, very brave little girl who loved running with the other schnauzers, here she is in more of Mike’s photos:
….and here’s Janet, surrounded by many of her ex-foster babies, she also brought her own Monkey and Munchkin along, they also come from a puppy farm, but came to Janet as very, very young puppies, about to be destroyed, they are gorgeous and little Monkey has the perfect name, she’s a cheeky Monkey indeed:
The day was a lovely walk, lots of happy schnauzers and people, many happy rescues from puppy farms, who have now found wonderful homes with caring, patient humans. It’s always very rewarding to be out and about with them and to see how they can largely let go of their fears and learn to trust humans, some take time, all of them retain some issues, but they all love being around other schnauzers. The “normal” dogs are as important to them as the humans, probably more so.
