Denbies hillside circular walk
We headed over this morning to Denbies hillside, it’s a walk we haven’t done before but one we came across after we’d stumbled on the North Downs Way back in January. We haven’t yet revisited the NDW but now we’re well into the autumn, we are focussing on exploring our local walks more. This is about 15minutes drive from where we live.
The Denbies Hillside Walk is a National Trust managed walk, which usually means good marked footpaths and well managed landscapes and we weren’t disappointed. There were a few options, but we decided to take it easy and avoided these steep paths……
and preferred the flatter paths, not only because a Sunday morning laze had over taken us, but the views were better…..
……and Susie-Belle does enjoy pausing at anything beautiful for a bit of peaceful contemplation…..
……..and just as we were all admiring the peace and quiet, along came a train to disturb the Sunday morning reverie (actually, I exagerate, it was pretty silent)……
….the walk was a nice mixture of open views, flat paths, and a bit of a steeper climb back up to the start through the woods……
…..and then, to finish it off, we came across the most enormous rat…….
………which both girls had to investigate, well they are ratters aren’t they!
Oh how we wish we had such lovely place to go see and investigate. So happy Susie-Belle is enjoying the life you give her, furever homes are so wonderful.

Great walk and a rat too. We hope you have a super Sunday.
Best wishes Molly
I enjoyed that walk and the little choochoo train. Very scenic. Some one had a sense of humour with the rat! 🙂
It looks like a fantastic walk!

Good thing you chose the path you chose! You could have missed the enormous rat had you chosen the other rat.
