The Book is Launched – what a lot of fun that was…

We had a superb time yesterday at the official book launch party. The turnout was brilliant, I don’t know for certain how many people came, but the shop was packed and I was busy signing books for a couple of hours.

Susie-Belle took it all in her stride, she is such a calm, self-contained dog it really is heart warming to see her manage these days in situations of high excitement.

I think her new special party bed helped her settle….

…and having her foster mum Janet close to hand for a comforting stroke when she needed it….

While I was kept busy scribbling away…..

….our guests were kept busy eating cake…..

…although my little nephews thought they might find the book a bit tastier……

…all in all, it was a day I won’t forget, so many people took the time to come along and buy the book it has really moved me. I hope Susie-Belle’s story helps many, many people to realise that a lot of what goes on in the breeding of dogs must end, it really must. If we have contributed to changing a few people’s thinking, it’s all been very worthwhile.
